valo at home day nineteen: center - puzzling

It can feel good to step away. To take a break from the every day and redirect our focus and energy towards something new.

During this time at home, some of us may have reached into the back of our closets for a bit of entertainment. Maybe you’ve stumbled on a puzzle purchased, but never yet assembled. As a few of us have found, placing that final piece can feel oh-so-satisfying, especially during this unfamiliar time.

Puzzles have benefits that stretch far beyond the act of assembling an image. Focusing on a single task can calm our minds while we busy our hands. Sounds nice, right?

Today we invite you to join us in putting together a puzzle of your own. Clear a space (maybe centrally located, so you can add a piece here and there, or sit down for a stretch and complete a whole section...). Pour yourself a cup of coffee, or grab a snack. Lay out the pieces. Separate the edges, find the corners, and you're off!

Don’t have a puzzle on hand? This resource has plenty of free options to dive into from your computer or phone. Take a look and find one that strikes your fancy.

Once you’re done, snap a pic and share it with us using #valomaine. We’d love to see the puzzle you’ve solved (maybe it’s more than one?).

If you come along and post a photo and tag @valomaine on Instagram or Facebook, we'll enter you in a raffle to win a prize--like a gift card from our friends at Rosemont Market & Bakery or a year-long subscription from the good folks at Taproot Magazine.
