Valo is seeking a Development Director to join a circle who is passionate about supporting young people. Valo is at an exciting moment of growth and looking for the right individual to help us meet ambitious fundraising goals.

 

The role of the Development Director is to oversee and execute the strategy for fundraising, in collaboration with the Board, Executive Director, and Development Coordinator.

 

Job Responsibilities.

The Development Director will:

-  Oversee and execute the strategy for fundraising, in collaboration with the Board, Executive Director, and Development Coordinator.

- Coordinate Valo’s fundraising and development strategy to reach our annual goals via individual and major donors, foundations, corporate sponsors, and grants. Creatively consider and leverage the recommendations from Valo's recent comprehensive consultation with a Maine-based development adviser.

- Plan and oversee development events

- Collaborate with Board and Executive Director to determine Annual Appeal goal

- Collaborate with Board and Executive Director on donor cultivation and asks

- Collaborate with Development Coordinator to maintain CRM, donor tracking, and reports

- Collaborate with Media Director to create donor collateral as-needed

- Collaborate with Outreach Director to cultivate partnerships with other nonprofits

- Oversee development advertising

- Maintain regular communication with development updates to Board

- Collaborate with Board around fundraising efforts

 

Annual Salary: $55,000

Time Commitment: 20 hrs/week (with flexibility for both remote and in-person work)

administrative assistant

Valo, a nonprofit serving the emotional wellbeing of youth, is looking to hire an organized, responsible, and proactive Administrative Assistant to perform a variety of administrative and clerical tasks.

 

Job Responsibilities.

The Administrative Assistant will:

- Provide support to our directors and employees

- Assist in daily office needs in support of bookkeeping and payroll

- Support the development staff in reporting and tracking

- Ensure office supplies and maintenance procedures are organized, managed, and maintained

 

Qualified candidates are clear communicators, well versed in basic computer literacy (specifically Google Drive, Microsoft Office, Canva, and Givebutter), and have prior experience as an office administrator or relevant administrative role. It’s a bonus if you are as passionate about supporting youth as we are!

 

Compensation: $21/hr

 

Time Commitment: 7-10 hours/a week at Valo’s office (located at 121 Main St. in Yarmouth, Maine)
