Valo Programs

Retreats that empower youth

Valo is a retreat-based program for youth that supports their wellbeing in an unplugged setting with a circle of peers and trusted adults. Through conversation, time outside, cooking, creating, play, and moments alone, teens experience a deeper sense of themselves and true connection, allowing them to feel grounded and to know that they matter.

Valo empowers young people to care for their emotional wellbeing and foster deep connections. Openness, curiosity, vulnerability, and connection are at the core of all programs.

We offer multiple program models:

Overnight
Full-day with follow up sessions
weekly or monthly sessions

We remain committed to lasting impact, and every program includes the opportunity for follow-up. Valo participants learn how to create community and connect authentically wherever they go.

Our Programs

weekend program

Join a group of teens for four overnight weekend retreats throughout the school year. Time unplugged, cooking together, meaningful conversations, time outside, games, space to reset, and a ton of fun are all a part of the equation.

sunday program

The Sunday program offers a small group of teens a chance to step away and be a part of a supportive (and fun!) circle. Youth in our afternoon program gather once a month during the school year.

community partner programs

Valo designs hands-on retreats for small groups of youth to connect in real ways and emerge feeling a sense of belonging. Each program is tailored to the needs of the individual group. We work with teams, clubs, and after school programs.
