The Sunday Program
The Sunday program offers 9th and 10th graders a chance to step away, grow close to youth from different schools and backgrounds, be a part of a trusting circle, know what it feels like to belong, and have a ton of fun.
During Valo's Sunday program, small groups of teens unplug from technology, and, for a few hours a month, spend time away from their day-to-day challenges to connect with themselves and one another. The chance to reflect and share allows them the space to hit reset and grow.
On Sundays, we spend time…
-
Unplugged
-
In conversation
-
Sharing a meal
-
In nature
-
Playing and creating
-
Meditating
-
Feeling what it means to matter
Youth in the Sunday program commit to gathering for one afternoon a month during the school year.

Program Fee
We are committed to making our programs accessible to all families. If your child has been accepted into a Valo program, we pledge to eliminate financial barriers to their participation in the program. Valo has a sliding scale and appreciates families paying an enrollment fee that fits their budget. The breakdown below outlines what the costs cover.
The payment for the Sunday program includes:
-
Time in a unique, unplugged setting where teens build connections, share a meal, and hang out with a new group of teens each month.
-
Time with two experienced guides to mentor your teen throughout the program duration
-
Experience Valo in a simple and relaxed (and fun!) way.
-
8 gatherings
-
All meals and supplies
Fee: $500
Fees are due at the beginning of the program year. If you would like to set up a payment plan, or if you have any questions, please reach out to our Program Director, Meg, at programs@valomaine.org
